The following are the Terms of Use, including the Privacy Policy, of StoriesForYourKids.com site. Read them carefully, because if you do not agree with them you should leave the site and not to use any of its materials.

A. - RULES FOR THE USE OF OUR STORIES. PRIVACY POLICY



TYPES OF LICENSES, USE OF THE SITE AND ORIGINAL CONTENT COPYRIGHT

The entire website "Stories for Your Kids" and all its contents, as an intellectual creation and multimedia artwork, is copyright protected by the current Spanish legislation and international Intellectual Property.

"Stories for Your Kids" defines the following types of license (these are usage rights and never include the sale of rights to materials nor distribution rights) to all downloadable content, whether a payment is required or not to use it:

  • Family License: is a license intended for the family and lets you use the materials for personal, noncommercial use whenever any immediate family member (grandparents, parents, children) is present. This license expressly prohibits the sale of copies to others, but allows the creation of copies for different purposes (car, mp3, etc.) within the family holding the license .
  • Teacher/Professional license : is an individual license designed for teachers and education professionals (psychologist, teachers, therapists, etc..), which allows the use of materials for the realization of their professional work individually and within their respective classrooms, offices and cabinets. Can not give copies to others (including students and patients), but can maintain several copies on different media.
  • School license: is a group license that allows any professional school or college, or any other educational institution, to enjoy a Teacher license, with a special feature that allows the transfer of materials among professionals in the center

None of these licenses allow the modification or creation of derivative works (which will require prior authorization in writing). Nor can they be used in radio, television, internet or other media without prior written authorization. Matarials distribution and the any commercial benefit using our stories and materials is expressly prohibited , except as expressly stated in this section.


In general, content that can be accessed with no registered access nor other restrictions is regulated by the Family and Teacher licenses. Content obtained through a paid plan is governed by the specific characteristics of the plan hired.

"Stories for Your Kids" allow for the dissemination of our text stories for educational purposes (not commercial or for profit) under the following conditions:

  • For a web publication, add a link to the website of "Stories for Your Kids" and cite the author's name. Other publications, just mention the website and the author's name
  • More than 10 stories or articles can not be used on the same site, whether physical or electronic. Any amount over that limit must be approved in advance in writing.
  • For no cost local and small circulation magazines, just mention author's name and the website below the story or stories published. Each publication may not contain more than 2 stories per issue or more than 15 in different issues of the magazine without prior written authorization.

Any use of the contents for commercial purposes, or which is not reflected in these conditions must be authorized in writing. For inquiries in this regard please use the following contact form .


Some of the contents of the website (as part of the drawings and photographs, and classic stories) are not the intellectual property of "Stories for Your Kids". They have been taken from sources considered as public domain. In case you think any of them is subject to intellectual property, you must notify to us, so that the content is removed from the web site as soon as possible.


- "Stories for Your Kids" is a site for families, parents, teachers and children. Any attitude or comments we deem inappropriate for this age will result in their removal and the cancellation of the user account, without any rights or compensation.

PRIVACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION USE. PAYMENT SYSTEMS

In accordance with Law 15/1999 of 13 December on the Protection of Personal Data, "Stories for Your Kids" reports to its registered users (those who have completed a registration form, including some personal information), that your data will be stored in a file for automated processing. Payment Systems

Payment systems used by "Stories for Your Kids" are external and safe. When making a payment "Stories for Your Kids" will not request nor store any financial information, nor any card details. You will transmit this information directly to payment gateways (like PayPal) by secure means . Companies such as PayPal enjoy a highly acclaimed reputation in the management of payment data.
That is, is not that your card details will be safe with us: it is that we will never process, store or even know them, as we won't have any option for this to happen. We proceed this way to make you aware that your payment data is not exposed to any risk atributable to us.


B. - SITE SERVICES



SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAID SERVICES

"Stories for Your Kids" reserves the right to provide certain special services, or to allow exclusive access to certain content to registered users of the website. Registered users of the site must complete a registration form and must comply with certain conditions (such as a payment or some other action) to be accepted. "Stories for Your Kids" reserves the exclusive right to accept or deny applications for registration of any Registered User in its sole discretion and to terminate any account at any time without rigths to any compensation. In the event that a paid registered user account is suspended by "Stories for Your Kids" at its sole discretion, the user would only be entitled to the refund of the fees in a quantity that is proportional to the remaining subscription time. In case that the account cancellation was caused by the breach ot any of these Terms of Use, no paid fees will be refunded.
Any user of a recurring payment plan may unsubscribe at any time , through his user panel at http://storiesforyourkids.com/user under the tab "subscription." This action will cancel future payments, but does not entitle to any refund. The subscription will remain valid and operative for the remaining time of subscription. Thereafter, the subscription will no longer be operational.


Registered users will have a site password to access their account panel. They can use it to modify their personal data or their own password. Users are responsible for the proper custody of the password, which must be sufficiently complex to prevent its discovery, in addition to being amended periodically. "Stories for Your Kids" will never be responsible for any incident arising from other user access to your account using your password. You will be liable in the event that such access will have negative effects for the image or services provided by "Stories for Your Kids".
Subscriptions and user accounts are valid for both language versions ??of the site (Spanish and English) that correspond to the domains storiesforyourkids.com and cuentosparadormir.com. To access the special services of each language version, you will need to login with your username and password in the specific domain for that language. Yo can be logged in to both domains at the same time.


Among the services we offer to different types of users we include the following:

Audio stories downloads

Users whose subscription plan includes audio story downloads can download mp3 files from audio stories published on the website as part of their subscription. Usage rules, limitations and licensing are reflected in section A of these conditions.
The purpose of this subscription is the enjoyment of the stories in a nearby environment as stories are discovered and used. To accomplish this, it is strictly forbidden the download of the stories by any automatic means, and there is a 15 stories limit in the maximum number of audio stories that can be downloaded during the same day.
However, each subscription plan will have an initial welcome pack including a larger number of stories. A download link for this pack will be available through the user panel under the "files" tab.

Browsing the site without ads or external links

To provide a more comfortable and safer browsing experience, especially for children, some subscription plans allow you to browse the website without external advertising or links to other websites. Those spaces reserved for advertising that could not be completely eliminated will be replaced with motivational messages, images or links or other pages of the site.
This will require that the user holding a subscription including this service to be logged in to be able to experience this kind of safer browsing. To browse through the English and Spanish versions of the page simultaneously, you should be logged in to both versions of the site. "Stories for Your Kids" will do its best effort so that users of these plans are not presented with any external link, but can not provide guarantees of any kind. However, we will respond promptly to any communication of any issues detected in this regard. In particular, we should note that for technical reasons we can not remove links that other users have included in the comments to our stories. These links, scarce and hard to find across the site, are always moderated, but we can not make any statement on the content and integrity of those sites.

Sending email updates

This is a free service that requires no prior registration on the page. This service is provided by Google under the name of Feedburner, and is used to subscribe via email to the rss feeds of the site. "Stories for Your Kids" can not provide any guarantee for this service, although we will make our best effort to make it work properly. There is not a fixed time interval between sendings, but the usual number of submissions received by this way is quite steady, at about one per week. These messages can bring together with content, some advertisements provided by Google. This service is specific to the language version of the site, so that whoever wishes to subscribe to the English and Spanish versions will have to do it twice, one for each domain, through the forms provided.

Regular newsletters

Registered users in the portal with one of the plans, whether paid or unpaid, will automatically be included in the list to receive newsletters and messages relevant to the site and our services. The interval between different sendings of these newsletters is not determined and can be vary. In addition to those free plans that may have a welcome pack with some free audio stories to download, all our subscribers will be elligible to obtain a free non-expiring subscription plan equivalent to our FRIEND plan. To get this special susbscription, they must promote our website through internet or email media. The conditions for this promotion may vary, but will be always included in these Terms of Use. Those conditions are as follows.

Eligibility for a subscription to the free FRIEND equivalent plan

  • You must be registered with a valid username and password on our website, no matter if it is a free or paid plan.
  • At your user panel, available at http://storiesforyourkids.com/user you will find different types of ads for our site, with the needed code to be embeded in a webpage or email. This code will be customized to each user, and will be used to identify those people who access the site through these links.
  • When 3 people coming to the site through any of your specific links hire a paid subscription plan, you will receive, as a sign of gratitude, a free non-expiring subscription with features similar to that of our FRIEND plan.
  • You can use your advertisement links to promote our site on forums, websites and social networking sites. You can also use them in your personal emails, provided that such use can not be considered spam.
  • It is expressly prohibited the inclusion of such links in websites with inappropriate content, such as erotic or pornographic, or whose content bears no relation to the subject and target audience of "Stories for Your Kids".
  • You will be responsible for all consequences that may arise from misuse of these links, especially in the case of spam complaints.
  • It will be your responsibility to ensure that the code for the ads is correct, and that it actually corresponds to that assigned to you, so that referred visits can be correctly assigned to you.
  • "Stories for Your Kids" can not guarantee that the suggested code will work correctly on all platforms and web pages, so the you will be responsible for ensuring that resulting links are operational.
